Back and forth

The correspondence with the guy at eBay in Germany, which i believe is connected to the Ukrainian Hartblei company in Kiev... I kind of get confused there.

As i now was ready to order the rotating "RBZ" adapter allowing me to adapt Mamiya Sekor RZ67 lenses to the Fujifilm GFX camera system, for a price of 590 €. But now he said, that he can make the adapter ready next day, being sent out by HARTBLEI directly.

but the company - i suppose - is located in Kiev, Ukraine. And that means, i would have to pay an additional 25% Swedish tax plus import fee. I thought the guy had the adapter in Germany.... not in Ukraine.

Suddenly i also felt, boy - this adapter price is just getting higher and higher. Originally it was 390 € for the first bellow adapter (which doesn't rotate, unless you screw around with a screwdriver). Then he suggested me the RBZ adapter instead. Now the price jumped to 590 €. Fine.

And now the risk of paying an additional 30% on top.

Doesn't tell you, that additional tax and import have to be paid

When you make contact to a German eBay seller, i would expect that it gets shipped from Germany, within the EU, and not from a foreign place outside the EU whee you pay additional fees on top. And if the latter is the case, it also should be made clear, that it is shipped from the outside of EU, and you have to pay import fees and tax.

So, he didn't answer me to my last message. I already indicated that if the company sends the adapter from Ukraine, i decline the offer. Simply because that adapter becomes too expensive (for what it does).

We are talking about frikking 8500 SEK for a remade Russian/Ukrainian adapter

The Fotodiox RZ/RB adapter for example goes for 4000 SEK.

Leaving the idea - for now

I don't think the guy will get back to me - so. I consider the HARTBLEI idea being obsolete. The price for the adapter plus all taxes isn't worth it. And theidea of adapting the Mamiya Sekor Z (67) lenses with the Fujifilm GFX camera system seem to be a "black hole" swallowing money for some pokey results.

I shift my attention back to the Pentax 6x7 lenses on Fujifilm GFX, instead.
Which is not bad at all.

Not in stock

One Swedish store sells the Fotodiox RZ/RB to GFX adapter, for 4000 SEK / 340 € - but doesn't have it in stock. This would probably be my second attempt to adapt those Mamiya lenses with the GFX camera. It is a non-rotating adapter - but i just might have a solution for that (with a huge L-shaped plate i once bought for the Pentax 67 II camera, in order to mount it on a tripod in the vertical position, without disturbing the camera/lens balance on the tripod (e.g. by placing the whole camera 90° to the side which is just too much weight on one side)
