High Season Summer - Yeah, finally !

High season summer has reached Stockholm since a couple of days, while in the northern parts of Sweden it started one week ago with temperatures up to 30°C, and now even up to 32°C.

We now too got 30°C at Tullinge station.

The stuff we dream about for a whole year, you know. And it looked like it would never take off. In fact, the average temperature deviation in Stockholm for the first 17 days - was still only 0°C (normal), due to chilly deficit in the beginning of the month pulling it down to almost -1.5°C at first.

Mitakon Speedmaster 65/1.4 lens for Fuji GFX

It is special - no doubt about it. There is a wonderful character with this lens, despite not being critically sharp at open apertures... it still delivers something that many lenses do not; character. And since you're making a photo smaller than 100% - it almost always looks so much better.

I like these Sal portraits i made earlier at sunset, when the room was warmly lit, yet the room had deep shadows giving Sal's face a special light from a large window.

Since I havn't used the Mitakon 65mm ƒ1.4 lens so often, it startles me, how wonderful the character can be with this lens. It certainly gives a that lovely mediumformat look in portraits.
