Canon EF 200/2 L IS

While i highly appreciate this outstanding and rather specialized lens... it is physically not such a nice combination when mounted on a Fujifilm GFX camera. It feels better with Canon cameras (where the AF is faster and more precise of course). Nevertheless, it is possible to use the Canon EF 200/2 L IS on a GFX camera, and the quality is excellent. AF works well via the Finger EF-GFX Pro adapter.

Stockholm Pride 2025 Portraits

There is some soft vignetting visible in the corners, and it doesn't seem to matter if i use a lenshood or not. Below you see photos made with this special lens (with Canon R6), showing you how extraordinary it performs ! For that Stockholm Pride is perhaps one of the best opportunities to take portraits of many people.

When the lens is used at aperture ƒ2 - it chisels out a main person - while the background melts away into a very pleasant background without distraction.

Stockholm Pride is really a great way to take portraits. Also as an exercise. I felt like that back in 2008 and 2009 - and discovered that it still was a great, outmost fun experience in 2025, too.

I absolutely love portraits of people.

There were (i suspect) unusual many straight people (and many companies) participating. In that regard, Pride has gotten watered out. But it all had an extremely warm family feeling... Kind of what you wouldn't expect from Pride (through good and bad expectations). I think Stockholm Pride is a bit different compared to other cities. Or at least I think that way; up here it has always been extremely warm, not perverted at all, and huge amounts of families are participating.

So, it is more like a giant festival. It's been a whopping 12 years ago the last time i participated as a viewer, and 16 years ago i actively took portraits of people participating at Stockholm Pride.

I wanted to see 1) the vibe of it all (how woke it was or not, any changes compared to 2009 or not), and 2) how I would perform as a photographer. If i still had it in me or not. And if i would dare to be among that many people.

I did. And it was amazingly fun to experience the variation, creativity and warm atmosphere. If I ignored the slogans, it didn't feel so woke really. The atmosphere radiated friendliness, no aggressions what so ever, and warm feelings among all kinds of people, no matter size, age, religion, color or sex.

That did surprise me a bit, still.
