This (high season) summer 2025, came rather late in Stockholm. While it "exploded in Northern Sweden all the way beyond the polar circle after 10th July, it came not until 15th to the city, due to a stubborn stretch of clouds covering the city. Once gone, the temperatures suddenly went up to (almost) 30°C, albeit never truly reaching or passing the 30°C threshold. In Stockholm-Tullinge in the outer southern suburbs - it did, but only once.

So, During the first days in August, The extreme north of Sweden had continuously unusual warm to hot weather including tropical nights in which the temperatures didn't go below 20°C... until the spell broke after 5th August. And autumn came rather early (which i showed to you, on page 244)

A mixed compote, indeed

below you can see the period with warm summer weather in Stockholm, finally taking place in mid until end of July 2025. You can also see, the chilly / cold weather in Stockholm during the latter august month... in which temperatures fell to 0.6°C in Tullinge (but stayed at 8-9°C; after all we are talking about an artificially "climate-changed" warmth that resides in the city center, screwing with longterm statistics).

As of lately - for several days - it has gotten a lot warmer. Especially at NIGHT time where even Tullinge reports MIN temperatures around 14-15°C. Nevertheless, due to the stubborn clouds over our area, no or barely any temperatures reaching above 20°C.

Yet, it does feel warm despite the overcast sky. Moist kind of warm to mild.

August in Average

Overall, August 2025 has been shy in terms of real summer temperatures, resulting into anomalies reaching from +§ to -1°C over Sweden. Most areas below average temperatures. And in two small spots in Sweden, it was diverting the most with -1.1°C

Stockholm was one of the two places. Well, the stubborn clouds, you know. And the inflow of colder, polar airmasses resulted into that August turned out too cold. Kind of weird summer 2025... without much highlights, really. Except for a wonderful period reaching from mid July to the first 1-2 weeks in August - the rest was not worth to write home about.
