Albeit it has been unsteady weather - the overall temperatures are quite a bit higher compared to what is normal this time of the year. The main reason for this is, that we have been in mild airmasses - embedded with plenty of clouds, even quite some rain - but very, very mild nights (as if high season summer). This means, the first 13 days of September are 3-4°C higher than normal. Which likely will be pushed downwards, as the temperatures are predicted to fall.

After all, we are soon approaching Autumn equinox... It will not take much time until we reach more "normal" temperatures. Which means much chillier max temperature compared to now.

I am sure that yesterdays 21°C where the last for this season.

Good bye, we'll see again, perhaps in the end of May 2026. *sigh*

When minimum more often dips below 10°C

My person favorite definition of "autumn like weather", is when the night temperatures go suddenly much more often below 10°C. You know like 7°C, and you feel it is chilly. That's for me more autumn-like. This far, the nights have been at times exceptionally warm, with 15-16°C. While i was working at the train depot at night, i was lightly dressed. Still. In September.

Love it !

The SUN PHOTO above

Is intriguing. You kind of know that it was taken against he sun - but when you try to find the sun - you don't see it. And curiously, it isn't exactly where you would expect it to be. it takes me every time several seconds to finally see the sun surface - which is fully visible if you look closely (it is much more obvious when you see the image larger).

So it is a strange image, because the sun both isn't visible, and yet it is there in plain sight with its entirely outline (of the solar disk)

Very strange image, indeed.
