Temperatures rising
There is a slight rise in temperatures happening around midnight, despite light rain falling and an overcast sky - at a temperature around 18°C.
Feels as if I am in the very last hours of "summer". I mean having 18°C at midnight in the end of September does feel exotic. And nostalgic in a way. Given that we are in the very early phase of Autumn, and a long row of months with clouds, winter, snow and the lack of light later on... until somewhere in May - if we are lucky - might see 20°C. again.
Feels always a bit strange in the end of September... when everything (darker, poorer and colder) all lies ahead of you, while you're waiting for 8 month in order to reach lovely MAY again...

As of Now
Here you see the mild temperatures over Scandinavia, mainly over the Southern part, with temperatures between 15 and 19°C. at midnight.

On the nice side
Things simply don't happen that quickly. (Thinking of winter, I mean) Therefore Autumn can and often is at times, pretty awesome to experience. It isn't summer. It is something else. Something in between. The outlooks look lovely because of a rapid growing high pressure area. And if we are lucky, the skies might stay clear. After all - in autumn the risk of foggy clouds emerging very quickly is always high.
Sunshine can easily turn into an overcast day with somewhat lower temperatures than predicted

Nice autumn temperatures ahead ?
Maybe that is our "Indian summer" so to speak. A period of time, in which you face the sun, mild temperatures and cooler nights, albeit still frosty (in Stockholm city with its artificial heat bubble not, but in the outer suburbs it could actually happen. SMHI did send out a notification that this might happen).
Generally warmer September
Here you can see, for every 8 years, that the maximum temperatures have generally risen - gotten warmer - since the 80s. And thanks God for that - given how chilly September often was in the 80s.
I never liked Septemmber in Stockholm when I arrived from Berlin in 1984... Temperatures were quite often below normal temperatures back then. It felt like real autumn.
Sometimes that feeling was already present in the end of august, feeling chilly; not something that i would considered to be summer-like.
But yeah, West-Berlin was of course warmer in September compared to the more northerly located Stockholm. I should have known...
