This one went much better, more easy. I used a fixed interval, put it on the largest distance between focus steps (10") - and then took 30 images at aperture ƒ2 (wide open). Then converted into TIFF images which got stacked in the Zerene Stacker app. On the final image, i used gentle Sharpness AI in Topaz.
The 51 MP original zoom into 100% - shows razor sharp details even in the smallest. Almost like walking across a macro image.
Quite fascinating...

The whole procedure
felt now much more... intuitive to me. Perhaps the AUTO feature works better with landscape images ? I don't know. I have not done that yet. I like the manual setting for focus bracketing in fixed intervals (with autofocus), simple felt better.
I guess i am learning along the road... and things might even change once i understand a feature better in practical life.
Fujinon GF 110mm ƒ 2.0
Surely is a lens that performs at a very high level, optically and sharpness wise.
I have not really used it that much yet I realize; for example for outdoor portaits. Now that autumn is upon us, and I am generally am sleeping during daytime, due to my night shift job... It limits my outdoor portrait photography quite a lot. In early winter and throughout when I wake up, it is already dark...
I April next year, I'll awaken again *LOL*
When the light returns.
