High declination

The moon right now has a very high declination (27° 16') at 20.20 local summer time in Stockholm. At the same time it is several degrees above the ecliptic, too.

Now that it reached nearly its highest point among the zodiac (in Gemini) - it goes up above the horizon, where the sun never reaches at my balcony in June (summer solstice). The sun never goes up above the Globe arena ! Ever.

The moon however reached tonight around 3.5°C above the Globe arena in an area i rarely see the moon like that. I took two images. One is exposed for the moon (which is very bright), the other photo is exposed for the city landscape. However, my skills in combining two photos is not very good. I had to do it manually - which looks a bit weird.

But that's how it now looks like...

Right above the Globe Arena

which from my Balcony in Southern Stockholm, lies 7 kilometers away.

Cool.

The sun on 21 June goes up all the way to the right, where the tree is. Perhaps even a notch more to the right. While the moon now went up unusual much to the left. I saw it first when it was all the way to the left where the skyscraper starts. Then it was covered a bit of the roof - but went up in the middle of the house, like in the photo below.
