Dealing with images from emotional periods in my life, are now a lot easier to look at, work with - as 10-15 years have passed. I avoided most of the people earlier but that seems superfluous today.

Back to Leica M9

So, now i can explore many more photos made with the Leica M9 - and there are plenty of them in my archive !! The lovely moment between Daniel's sister Jenny and her son Tyler, while she is reading out of a book for him. Located at Pozzuoli, in the Campi Flegrei volcanic caldera - near Napoli, Southern Italy.

Interesting to recall that they literally lived in the very center of Pozzuoli, near the Solfatara volcano - where in the past years ten thousands of little earthquakes took place, and the entire are has lifted more than a whopping 1.5 meters in the past 2.5 years (!!)

It is believed that magma is collecting under Pozzuoli and rising against the layers which this far been impenetrable... but start perhaps to fail and break. Therefore an eruption might be totally ruled out.

The signs are simply too many.

Including earthquakes that reached almost magnitude 5 at times. Earthquake swarms are many !! The entire area is highly unsettled, and people who live there are very worried. Houses get damaged over time. Some houses even had to be abandoned. The old harbor is almost dry, due to the excessive ground lift.

Ok, now I am tired...

of my images. You know, the moody ones. Sometimes you need a break - in order to see clear again; with a set of fresh eyes and inspiration. Which as of right now, is empty. It is 04.00 in the morning... while still raining outside.

So OK, I leave it here.

However it is and has been nice to revisit older Leica M images... It is not so often I look at them, really.
