What I find fascinating is, that when you check the satellite chart - those cloud don't really look much. Kind of relatively innocent.

While when you are right under those clouds, take photos... things are pretty different - and in a way more dramatic.

Alone from a satellite chart I often miss that extra real-life dimension. Especially when i look at other places. Or when i am trying to estimate weather situations in past satellite charts - finding it difficult to judge how potent a cloud cluster have been - or not.

Not really dramatic

Of course, this late afternoon's thunderstorm clouds, where not truly dramatic in terms of winds and precipitation. Just like little storm cloud with everything attached to such weather phenomena - but nothing noteworthy in terms of meteorological numbers.

It did however feel "dramatic" standing under the clouds; The unsettled sky. The fast changes. The dark patches. The strange color nuances. Sudden wind gusts and rain showers.

Still. It was all over very quickly.

For people who are more observant - you see the changes shapes and colors. (I still find that super exciting !!) But it is a world within a world, it seems. For people who don't sit or walk with noses deep buried into mobile phone screen, I mean.
