And it was there at night on Stromboli volcano - Daniel took images of a tornado over the sea, entangled with lightning. We were like jumping out of joy, when we realized, that he had captured a tornado like that. He used the Canon EOS 1000D i had won in a Swedish photo competition (Earth Hour) - and the LCD screen back then were not that good. We didn't see the tornado at first, you know. Well, we didn't see it with your bare eyes at all. And not in the photos right away either.
On top, Daniel had never dealt with dSLR cameras before. So, he really got lucky. And he actually developed a keen eye in photography, in both composition as well when he took images of people in casual situations, and made many fine images, i thought often had something deeper than I managed to capture.
So yes, he developed into a very fine photographer - and we made a wonderful team in that regard. It was simple fun to go on Photo excursion together with him.
For the time, it lasted.
