After the City center of Stockholm registered 2 days above 30°C albeit not any of the surrounding stations ;-) - the weather is now going into a cooler, far more unsteady state. At least for the next 4-5 days - until it starts to get warmer again.
Still, as of writing, being +17°C under a cloudy sky - is for this time of the year rather mild. Mainly because of the clouds keeping the night temperatures slightly higher than normal. It has been raining on and off during the evening and night.
The good aspect of cooler weather is, that it drives out the heat from the rooms - making sleeping easier. I know, this i sin no comparison to southern Europe, like Sicily - where everything is warm to hot all the time. I can barely imagine to live there, once we turn 72 or something. Luckily that is still more than a decade away
*LOL*
On the other hand, being in Sicily in Winter, means more sunshine, and more milder weather compared to places like Stockholm.
The heat during summer time in Sicily, frightens me a little bit. Or at least - in theory. I have never lived in a climate significantly warmer - nor have i done so in relative freedom (without having to go to work). Still, it is tough with temperatures ranging around 33°C (normal max), to sometimes 40°C.
Low Pressure complex over Scandinavia
a larger low pressure area has established itself over Scandinavia / North Europe. Which means, rain, sun, showers and some thunderstorms. A typical Swedish summer phenomena. With temperatures around 20°C, or lower.

Don't worry - summer is coming back !
(see second chart below)
Right now over Europe:
There are thunderstorms north of Stockholm, as well really heavy thunderstorms in the Sicily especially Aeolian Islands and Napoli - due to a cut-off low at greater height. Which is clearly visible as a semi-circle of convective t-storms.
