My morning tour this morning after work was a bit different - just once station away from where I ended my night shift at Gullmarsplan - walking to the Globe Arena. Which used to be my neighborhood between 1992-2010, when i lived close by.

It is a "funky" area... mainly containing graphic lines and patterns. While from a different perspective it is desolate, often gray (with a few colored details) and pretty ugly. Nowadays it looks kind of... I don't know the English word for it. In Swedish we would say "Plottrig". When you throw together all kinds of styles and features - until it in the end looks... the opposite of unified and harmonious.

Which all together gave me a weird impression being there. Sometimes I had to think of "cattle farm". You were able to walk all around the Avicii arena (which used to be an utmost pretty little park there, acting like lungs in a sea of chaos of the nearby Nynäsvägen highway). Though the windows I could see all those entires and little shops, typical for an arena - with exaggerated prices and all kind of "buy me" slogans. Like collecting dumped down cattle heads gathering, wanting to much...

Now that everything was empty, it all looked even more weird. Empty. Desolate. Gray ugly. I don't understand why THREE arenas are stuffed together into this area of Stockholm.

Just weird. But hey, I am just an observer, really.

Passing by.

Tiny window to the world

Since I had the Fujifilm GF 500mm ƒ5.6 lens with me - as usual - I was only able to pluck little details from various places near and at the Globe arena. A few images stood out - while the rest didn't.

And boy was i tried. Endless tired I realized. I had barely slept during the "night" (day) before, with a brain that didn't seem wanting to settle down. While my night shift went very well - then later during my morning walk under totally clear skies and a strong blinding sun - i noticed that my body was indeed far more on the exhausted side.

The Globe Area didn't really inspire nor impress me much. A weird area, with weird looks and "styles" if you can call that (I doubt that).

The globe itself is kind of cool, though.
