Yeah, when Leti celebrated her birthday at an outdoor restaurant in Catania City, April 2024 - i have kind of forgotten these images. They were never tagged, having been taken with the Laowa lens. I used it on the Canon EOS R6 camera.
Despite the extreme brightness of the lens, i still hit very high ISO up to 10.000 in that dark environment of the street. Plus there is something else about Sicilian people; they are not just loud and lively - but they move constantly - which makes it difficult to set the sharpness correctly with a manual lens. Luckily, a 28mm wideangle lens is way easier to handle in that regard, than let's say a 50mm lens.
To me these images also have that classic "Leica Noctilux & Summilux" lens look (or image rendering style) you often got in the end of the 70s / early 80s when using Black & White film.
So, let's show some fun among Sicilians ! |
