I am not a big traveler, so distant places like US, South America, Africa, Asia and Australia... are not on my list when it comes to "chase" solar eclipses.

Australia seem to be pretty crowded with 4 Total Eclipses between 2028-2038. Another total passes over the northern suburbs of Tokyo on 2 Sep 2035

But there are four interesting eclipses in the next 12 years I find highly interesting from a person perspective. The red dot is just a marker of the paths - does not show the point of the longest occultation !

• TOTAL Eclipse in Spain - 2 August 2027
• ANNUAL Eclipse in Spain - 26 Jan 2028
• ANNUAL Eclipse Malta, Greece, Istanbul, Russia etc - 1 Jun 2030
• ANNUAL Eclipse (99% in Stockholm), ringformed in Gävle, Sundsvall, Åbo / Turku - 10 Jun 2039

• ANNUAL (ringformed) Eclipse (100%) straight over Stockholm (Southern suburbs) 11 June 2048

We might live in Sicily by year 2038-39

I have no clue how things truly will come about, but it is planned to move to Sicily somewhere between the years of 2038 or 2039, as i go into pension, as does Sal. Who knows, we might have already left Stockholm, when the annual eclipse passes by north of Stockholm on 11 June 2039. A solar eclipse becoming a significant passage between different life periods.

Maybe too ambitious ? (2048-2060)

Because of old age ? I am sure at that time in the future, I may not be that ambitious... One ANNUAL eclipse goes right over Sicily on 5 Nov 2059...in the morning - so i don't need to go anywhere. The ring-formed eclipse goes straight over Palermo and Syracuse, but Catania is pretty much near. There it lasts 5 min 26 seconds.

I only have to try to find that bloody solar filter somewhere lost in those many drawers *LOL*

I'll be in the age of 93.

Carla, Sal's daughter will be... wow, 60 years old. Paola will be 57. Given how stunning their mother looks like, i am sure at that age they will be stunning women as well.

These days, Sal's mother is approaching 87, and his ex mother in law is 95-96. So, this might still work with the eclipses *LOL*

Gosh... those age numbers.

In 9889 days, 16 hours and 57 minutes...

There is another TOTAL Eclipse going over Gibraltar / Southern tip of Spain on 12 Sep 2053. The path of totality however is pretty thin; Let me check... In Tarifa, it lasts 1 minute 35 seconds. While in Catania, Sicily - it will be partial to 84% but looks much more skinny, like the one over Stockholm in May 2003.

Türkiye: Total Eclipse 30 April 2060

It looks like a repitition of the Total Eclipse in Antalya, Türkiye on 29 March 2006 - happening on 30 April 2060. Only that the path is a bit moved to the east, going over Anamur, Mersin and Adana instead. While in Antalya it will be a super skinny partial eclipse of 97%.

In the shadow of Totality along the Southeast coast of Türkiye, it will last 4 minutes (while in Adana 4 min 34 sec) while if you go the outermost tip of Cyprus (Ponti Bapa), it lasts a whopping 5 minutes 6 seconds.

Wow.
