Leica Noctilux-M 50/1

Again with the helicoid adapter, which allows me to go focus closer than its original 1 meter. Which also means the blur gets even more exaggerated, and the fine details diminishes, but still gives coarser outlines shapes. Altogether can create impressionistic portraits that way.

All of them where taken at the extreme bright aperture ƒ1

Similar character lenses ? (close focus)

I can imagine that this also might work with lenses like Canon EF 50/1.2 L (including when adapted to the Fujifilm GFX camera), or with the new Canon RF 45/1.2 lens (on a Canon EOS R type of camera). Practically most ultra bright around 28-85 mm length lenses (0.95 to ƒ1.4), no matter of their optical quality in particular.

Oh, and the Mitakon Speedmaster 65mm ƒ1.4 lens made for Fuji GFX also comes to mind. Works also with a 11mm extender, and is like a Noctilux (character) on steroids.

A counter balance

to hyper sharp, super modern image style photos - taken with state of the art digital lenses... Instead or sometimes, you can create the opposite; old style romantic or poetic, impressionistic photography.
