I just read...

that one of the firmware updates in the ZWO Seestar S50 PRO smart telescope - added the ability to save all the frame in which the software detected a meteor streak. Meaning, that when you are in "milky way" mode with the wideangle lens - the S50 PRO and its software you steer in your mobile phone, you can enable that it keeps all the frames where meteors appeared.

i mean... wow ! (from an amateur perspective, I do find that absolutely amazing). How it works in reality - I have no clue. I have the Seestar S50 PRO at home, but not enabled yet, nor did i have any clear nights while being off work.

As for the time being... it is overcast and raining - and i am off duty. How quaint isn't that ? I guess there will be many nights that are cloudy, or when it is clear, i am working my night shifts the subway... So things will take time. And to mention - I have not even started learning this Astro smart device - which i am sure will take quite some time to "get into it".

Tele and wide angle photos at the same time

Apparently you can even do both telephoto astro photography while at the same time also use the wideangle milkyway lens for a project.

How cool isn't that ? At least it sounds like it.

About the updates in the software (Seestar S50 PRO)

you can learn the details here, starting at 16 min 15 sec.

It really seem to be an amazing device. I can barely believe that I have bought it - standing here in my home. I call it EVA (from the movie Wall-e), because the Seestar S50 pro looks from the side like "Eva".

By the way; the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P looks like "Wall-e"
