I believe i wrote that the MINIMUM FOCUS of the Canon Top Shot camera (1986) is 0.8 meter - but the manual states that it is 0.55 meter.

Which makes it more useful for self portraits of course, like "Sal & Ralf" together in front of the camera, type of snap shot. I don't know where it got the "0.8 meter" from originally. Perhaps an error i took over from the internet. 0.55 meter are of course much better for "close ups".

The Canon Compact camera from 1986

It feels actually very nice in the hand. Also; it came in very good condition and wasn't in any way complicated. Very simple. Naturally I can't say anything about the optical quality of the 38mm f 2.8 lens - because I just started a filmroll with Kodak T-MAX 400 II film - which will take some time until I develop it. (I have now 4 rolls open). Therefore, it may pretty soon develop those.

The Canon Top Shot model is larger than the diminutive Pentax Espio 120 SW compact camera - but I don't mind. Both of them are lovely to use, feel good in the hand. The viewfinder in the Pentax Espio has a built in diopter correction (rather unusual ?), while the Top Shot doesn't have it.
