Interestingly, the temperatures started to rise after midnight over Southern and parts of middle Sweden. We are within a warm air sector of a cyclone, whose cold front is located over the Skagerrak and west Coast of Sweden. A larger thunderstorm area just passed over middle Sweden, but goes northwards, and not much eastwards.
In the south, some station actually have a TROPICAL NIGHT with temperatures never going below 20°C (so far). Here in Stockholm, the temperatures have risen to 18-19°C. It all makes it feel a bit exotic. Especially now that we are approaching the end of August. Some years, high season summer has already been over at this point in time.
Therefore , I find it so exciting to experience such mild / warm weather. Especially when still in the middle/end of the night.
The Above Twilight Photo
i took at the widest setting (10mm) taken at aperture ƒ1.7 (wide open), shows good details even at the borders and extreme corners. Not knife sharp, but definitely better than ever before. So, despite Panasonic Poland making tests and saying that there was nothing wrong with the lens. Obviously they must have done something during testing, that brought the lens back to its high standard. I can't see the strong blur in the corners compared to the time before i sent it in.
Strange, isn't it. And I am not mistaken. I did study my older photos - and often had a sneaking, funky feeling about this lens; that something was simply not up to standard.
Now i get a good feeling. It is not a mistake or confusion - it is real.
Of course I am delighted - even if I still don't trust the lens... just yet.
Later:
Yeah, I still get mixed results. Sometimes OK, sometimes not so ok.
