During my time of using analog film - i sometimes had a thing for what i called "uncontrolled Double exposures". The kind of double exposures, without having control over what will be combined in one and the same frame.

So, we exposed the roll though - then rewinded it (or rolled it back in the darkroom), and then exposed it a second time. That we, we never knew what would be combined and overlap with one another. I like the thought of that something else would make the decision. Let creative forces make the choices, so to speak.

Choas Cats (1994)

After i made the cat series, just a week later, Olof T chimed in - and we made several series together. It was hilariously fun - believe me !

However, many of the color film negatives were rather ticky to make prints of, in the darkroom. Especially the double exposure images, were difficult to get right. Now, digital scanning gives me endlessly more options how to correct them, especially in terms of color tint and contrast. It is really a delight to see these funny images come to life with good colors and contrast.
