In the afternoon, the clouds got denser until the sky was overcast, due to a mix of warm front and occlusion front coming in over Stockholm. After sunset - we are in fog - and still are. While before midnight the Geomagnetic levels rose to 7.75 storm levels. Naturally I couldn't see a thing.

As of now, the auroral levels have fallen to a mere 2 - e.g. nothing to see even under a clear sky. The photo below, was made yesterday early morning in Finland by Sebastian Sainio. He used a bit too much colors in his photos, but i picked the one where it still looks photographically natural. In reality, to the naked eye, colors are usually less than what a camera registers (and photographers add further colors sometimes).

I love that photo below.

He took it by the way with the Canon EOS R6 [20 MP], like I use as my main fullframe camera. I consider that model (and the EOS R6 II) to be better with fewer megapixels compared to the bigger brother with more megapizels (EOS R5 and R5 II have 45 MP). I always prefer fewer megapixel cameras, due to that they give off a more natural grain / less noise at 100% pixel level.
