That's pretty incredible. Only 6 weeks left until summer solstice. It is funny how quickly the lighter time of the year goes... I often get the feeling during springtime, of not keeping up in speed. It has something to do with the weather up here in Scandinavia. Albeit we did have short, but unusual warm periods in Stockholm, in the beginning of April - but then it dragged around with coolish weather instead.
And before you even know it, we are into the middle of May. Which makes the distance to Summer Solstice much shorter than expected. Well, i should remember, that sometimes up here in our realm, summer isn't starting until AFTER summer solstice. Not every summer is warm and friendly - even if it has gotten generally warmer due to the increased sunshine ours over the last two decades - resulting into generally warmer weather.
But there are still summers, which don't really start until after June.
The Cold of May & June 1991
I remember 1991, which was a dreadful cold start of summer - where June was dull, cold, and rainy. And then on 1 July - it all "exploded" into full summer. Finally. What felt like an endless loop of too cold and gray weather, finally turned into summer, where you could go out into the woods, to the beaches, and to Freskati doing gay cruising. *LOL*
Down below you see how the weather diverted from the nominal average. Springtime 1991 started well, with warm and friendly weather in the end of March, into the beginning and mid April 1991. It was like a great promise of what to come. But then suddenly something weird happened: It plunged straight to the bottom from Mid April onwards, lasting all the way until 1 July 1991.
It stretched like a big depression though May and June. It felt like an endless stretch of bad, cold / chilly weather, for a whopping 12 weeks.
*brrr* I don't like my memories from that time.

I was 25 years old.
Back then, going to Freskati was a way to encounter other guys to meet; for amusement and longer lasting contacts. You went to Freskati, in the northern part of the inner city; A beautiful streak of green, with plenty of water surrounding the landscape. It still is a beautiful spot, with hills, cliffs, wonderful outlooks, and lots of green - and water. As well utmost fascinating formed trees, which become better visible before they are filled with green leafs. Albeit some of them are exquisit pretty, even when the leafs have popped.

Like in the photo below, I took 39 years ago.
Gosh, It feels really weird, to throw around with time periods which sooner or later are a half century long ago. Time really feels strange here on Earth.
