It has a touch of typical European April weather. A little bit, I would say. When big bold and dark clouds emerge from the north, winds starting to spice up and howl - while short sheets of rain come down. And then it abates again. From a warm temperature is not to speak of in this airmass that came from the north. Maximum here in Stockholm is around 10-12°C, instead of normal 17°C this time of the year.
The past two days we had temperatures between 18°C and almost 20°C. Not that i got much of that, due to my working sleeping rhythm, which makes me sleep during the day, and be away during the night.
So, there is that.
It seems that we are partially stuck in this on and off pattern. A high pressure area between Iceland and Scotland, extending sometimes into Western Scandinavia - but makes Stockholm be on the colder east side, where sometimes colder air sweeps down from the North. While the South of Norway had between 20-24 C for more than a week. And Scotland and UK also beautiful, albeit too dry weather - which seem to endanger the agriculture there.
Overall, even in Stockholm, it has overall very dry since January 2025...
Let me see, what we've got:
- February • 3.4 mm
- March • 3.2 mm
- April •
10,7 mm
- 1-13 May •
4.7 mm
Very low Rain amounts
Wow, that's really low. I didn't even fully realize how low. I mean the rain that has been falling since February 2025 is less than a winter month of precipitation, but stretching over a time of 3.5 month !
Pffffft.
Yesterday vs Today
Here the MAX temperatures from yesterday, 13 May 2025 over Europe. And below the current temperature early evening at 18.00 on 14 May 2025

Outlook ?
Kind of more of the same. First around 15°C, then a day or so up to 18-20°C,then colder again with max 12°C, and then a bit warmer again.
Tralalalaaaaa.
Until something happens that breaks the spell. In other words, something that disrupts a pattern in the atmosphere, and turns everything around, leading to a different type of weather pattern.
