There are some chances that during 23 May 2025, in the higher region of central Southern Sweden, snow might fall temporarily, mixed with rain - as the temperatures are predicted to drop to levels between 1.5 to 2.5°C. Where it is pretty possible that snow gets mixed in.

I would have to read / find, SMHI's (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute) library about late snowfalls - because I know they have such a section i remember, listing unusual late snowfalls. In that regard, they refer to snow that has been lying on the ground at 07.00 in the morning, when measurements are being done. That's the only statistics they have, unless of course they get unofficial information from people about snow.

Possible Snow mixed Rain

Still - the possibility of snow and rain over Southern Sweden, is a tale about pretty cold weather is ahead of us. But before that - we get a day of 20°C in Stockholm, and up to 26°C in Southern Sweden. Until a new bunch of cold air comes - again - from the north (As it has been the case now several times), in combination with low pressure areas creating our weather by stay near by or even covering our lands.

To me it looks like the MAX temperature for may 2025, will end up 2.4°C colder than normal, and the minimum temperatures around 1°C colder than normal.

A chilly May 2025 in other words.
