It is so fun to do light panting experiments in the small. Yet at the same time, everything still feels highly unpredictable when it comes to the effects of live light painting. Still a matter of trial & error. Or perhaps... that is the charm ?!? I am not against uncontrolled effects - on the contrary. But this far, i really feel (almost entirely) lost with the outcome. Have I changed ? I used to be more open abnout such things... Well, 'm not sure. Well, I like at least a sense of "pre-visualization" of what it might turn out like (doesn't have to be exact).
There is however saying in Swedish; "Övning ger färdighet" - something like "Practice makes perfect", says the translator. Which I feel sounds a bit off.
A more direct translation would be like "Exercises give/create skill"

I've added generated flames. While painted a glow to Obi-Wan Kenobi's light saber. The rest is real light painting on the spot. The light in the room in the evening was present but dampened. Thanks to Olympus cameras "Live Comp", I was able to work with that background light in the room, without risking overexposure.
That is kind of cool, given that the camera shutter stayed open for something like 3 minutes. It also makes it easier to find your tools, switching them on/off or do some settings, etc.
