I am a bit puzzled that the image shows plenty of stars - because to my naked eyes - i didn't see a single star - as dawn started to impact the lightness outside. Still dull-ish, but bright enough to make the weak and middle stars disappear. in fact, i didn't see a bright star even. Probably because there were not bright stars in the region to the north and Northeast.

The exposure was something like 10-12 minutes, with the Olympus "Live Comp" setting á 5 seconds. 11 mm focal length (equivalent to 22 mm wide angle on a fullframe camera), at aperture ƒ2.8 at ISO 80.

Cassiopeia

with it's characteristic "W" shape is easily to identify. Also Swan (Cygnus) at the right border, are relatively easy to spot - together with the main star Deneb. Oh and the star crowd on top of the image in the middle, is the sign of Cepheus. It looks when drawn like a house with a roof.

I had totally forgotten that I have this very bright zoom, the Leica Summilux DG 10-25 mm ƒ1.7 ASPH lens. One of my least used lenses, because i always feel that the extreme corners aren't really that good. You could say the zoom and I started at the wrong foot.

Just impressions

But due to it's extreme brightness combined with being very wide - making it useful Astro type of photography if you wish to capture larger areas of the sky. I mean, in all of its simplicity - because my images are just amateur, and mostly about impressions. Nothing sophisticated really - but i love my style, because it is clean and simplistic. Sometimes in periods even experimental.

When so many go super advanced with all the whistle and bells - i feel drawn to the more simplistic instead. I don't like to run along with the majority of crowds. I think I've never done that really - or when or if i did - then not really with that large amount of deep conviction and passion.

Never mind - it doesn't matter.

Corruption of I

My fear / dislike - is that when you "found your big hit" or "niche" or something that others start to like "too much" as in becomes too popular or famous or god know what else - that it corrupts the mind and soul over time. The ego aspect taking over what was born through soul in intuition. Then it becomes something that isn't you anymore. It just pretends to be a "you". I think of many, too many Youtuber, as a classic example.

Now, I don't need to break my head about these things anymore.

*LOL*
